I remember my first box of Crayola crayons like it was yesterday. The best Christmas gift as a child. I had an amazing Art Teacher, Mr Roeping in Primary School and I also received a book prize for Art Originality in Standard 4. I 'unfortunately' never had the opportunity to study art further, it was only later in life that it was rekindled from bright dreams on canvas to vintage dress patterns, good old fashion brown paper and now Navigation Charts. The lines of the dress patterns or navigation charts presents the journeys we take as women. My journey is to inspire and bring forth the message of strength, for your heart is like a piece of art. It shouldn't be hidden - it should be on exhibit to inspire others.
